Configuration and Timing of Collision Between Arabia and Eurasia in the Zagros Collision Zone, Fars, Southern Iran

چکیده
The configuration and timing of the Arabia-Eurasia continental collision, part broader Alpine-Himalayan collisional system, remains controversial. We conducted sandstone petrology, detrital zircon U-Pb-Hf isotopic trace element analysis, Cr-spinel electron microprobe geochemical analysis samples from Paleocene to Miocene peripheral foreland strata in interior Fars, southern Iran. These data were used test competing models for ophiolite obduction collision. In addition, we applied these compare history outward upward growth Zagros Himalayan-Tibetan segments orogenic belt. first appearance radiolarian-rich chert conglomerate, 100–90 Ma zircons with positive ?Hf(t) values +1 +20 midocean ridge affinity, suprasubduction zone (SSZ) affinity is lower middle Sachun Formation. indicate that occurred before deposition upper Maastrichtian-lower Formation developed an intra-oceanic setting rather than collision setting. Investigation of the strength and trend of seismic anisotropy beneath the Zagros collision zone
The Zagros collision zone is known as an active tectonic zone that represents the tectonic boundary between the Eurasian and Arabian plates. A popular strategy for gaining insight into the upper mantle processes is to examine the splitting of seismic shear waves and interpret them in terms of upper mantle anisotropy and deformation. Core phases SK(K)S from over 278 earthquakes (MW ≥ ...

assigning premium to the insurance contract in iran mostly has based on some old rules have been authorized by government, in such a situation predicting premium by analyzing database and it’s characteristics will be definitely such a big mistake. therefore the most beneficial information one can gathered from these data is the amount of loss happens during one contract to predicting insurance ...
15 صفحه اول3 - D lithospheric structure and regional / residual Bouguer anomalies in the Arabia – Eurasia collision ( Iran )
The aim of this work is to propose a first-order estimate of the crustal and lithospheric mantle geometry of the Arabia–Eurasia collision zone and to separate the measured Bouguer anomaly into its regional and local components. The crustal and lithospheric mantle structure is calculated from the geoid height and elevation data combined with thermal analysis. Our results show that Moho depth var...
